2011 Educational Strategies & Student Engagement Institute, Completing the Journey: Paving a Path to Success
Franklin will be delivering two workshops at the 2011 Educational Strategies & Student Engagement Institute, Completing the Journey: Paving a Path to Success to be held at Hilton St Petersburg Bayfront, St Petersburg, FL, November 7 – 10, 2011.
One workshop dealing with school leadership and culture is called “Creating School Leadership and Cultures That Embrace Learning” and will be given on Tuesday, November 9th at 9:45.
The other workshop dealing with school safety is entitled “Schools Need to Be Safe Havens Before Learning Can Begin.” It will be presented on Wednesday, November 9th at 8AM.

Louisiana Region II Summer Conference
Franklin will be addressing the Louisiana’s Department of Education about dropout prevention as the opening speaker at their annual summer conference to be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Garland TX, Region 10 ESC
Franklin has been invited to present a opening day general session at the Region 10 Educational Service Center’s annual dropout forum. He will be addressing 200 school administrators, counselors and classroom teachers on the topic “Helping Students Graduate: Tools and Strategies to Improve Graduation Rates and Lower the Dropout Rate.” The conference will be held at the Garland Special Events Center.
Franklin Will Be Returning to Baton Rouge
Franklin will be returning to Baton Rouge, LA to speak for the Capital Area Technical College. The topic of this all-day session is The Westinghouse High School Story. Franklin using Total Quality Management was able to lower the dropout rate of his Title I school from 21.9% to 2.1%, was able to send 71.8% of his first generation high school graduates to post secondary school, was able to increase family involvement from 12 parents to 271 in 9 months and was able to raise over $5,000,000 in his school.
24th Annual Risky Business/IAAE Conference
Franklin will be delivering the keynote address and two breakout sessions at the 24th Annual Risky Business/IAAE Conference in Altoona, Iowa on October 21, 2011. The Conference will be held at the Prairie Meadows Event Center.

Franklin will be delivering two workshops at the 23rd Annual At-Risk Youth National Forum to be held in Myrtle Beach, SC at the Embassy Suites Hotel.
